OBJECTIVES

WBL4MNG project intends to develop national policy, necessary legal framework on
work-based learning (WBL), apprenticeship/dual education models for Higher
education (HE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET) systems towards
enhancing partnerships between educational institutions and companies for better
employability of the graduates of HE and VET institutions in Mongolia.

RESULTS

The following project outputs/outcomes are expected to be sustainable long after the end
of the EU funding:

  • Training kit on main policy options and characteristics of apprenticeship/dual
    education in Europe and capacity building trainings/workshops for teaching,
    Career centres and administrative staff of HE/VET institutions, as well as for
    staff of Ministry of Education and Science and Mongolian Tourism Association,
  • “Policy and road map for development of work-based learning in Mongolia for
    2023-2028”,
  • Apprenticeship/dual education models for HE and VET systems, including
    undergraduate higher education and VET programmes in tourism,
  • Piloted “Aprenticeship/dual education models for HE and VET systems”,
    including undergraduate higher education and VET programmes in tourism,
  • “Toolkit for Quality Assurance of apprenticeship/dual higher education and
    VET”,
  • Legal framework needed for implementation of apprenticeship/dual education in
    Mongolian HE and VET systems,
  • Mongolian HEIs equipped with the necessary equipment for effective
    apprenticeship based teaching and learning,
  • Cooperation agreements signed between involved Mongolian and EU partners.
